A veteran of HBO Sports and Barclays Center, Jim Rocco joined PRCG | Sports in 2019

PRCG’s sports marketing brand continues to grow, handling complex communications assignments for some of the most famous properties in sports

NEW YORK, NY (March 11, 2022) — PRCG | Haggerty LLC is pleased to announce that Jim Rocco has been promoted to Managing Director of the firm’s PRCG | Sports marketing and public relations brand.

Jim has been a Senior Consultant and Director of PRCG | Sports since its launch in 2019. During that time, the brand has built on PRCG’s decades of experience in managing complex legal and crisis communications assignments, representing sports-related clients in intercollegiate athletics, policy organizations, media, horse racing and the golf industry, among others.

Jim spent more than 15 years at HBO Sports, where he marketed live boxing events, sports documentaries and studio programs such as Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, On The Record with Bob Costas, Inside the NFL and Hard Knocks. He has also served as Director of Marketing at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, one of the premier sports and entertainment destinations in the tri-state area, devising innovative sports marketing campaigns for a variety of events, including professional boxing matches and NCAA basketball tournaments.

Current PRCG | Sports clients include the Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics, several U.S. universities, GOLF magazine, the Nicklaus Companies, and other golf-related businesses. Over the years, the firm has also represented sports owners and athletes, sponsorship entities and nonprofits in sports-related fields.

In 2021, PRCG introduced SportsRep360, an integrated suite of reputation management practices, training principles and technology designed specifically for the modern athlete, brand or other sports-related entity. In 2020, the Crisis Communications in Sports podcast was launched with Jim serving as co-host.
